Ajax Kit for 2025-2026 Campaign

Given the fact that Ajax play in red and white when they are wearing their home kit, it is fair to say that manufacturers don’t have a huge heap of wiggle-room in terms of putting together a new kit for each season. That being said, there is money to be made from selling replica kits, which Ajax want to do as much as any other football club.

Where there is some room for manoeuvre is when it comes to the away kit and the third kit that the manufacturer produces, on account of the fact that they don’t have to stick rigidly to that red and white colour scheme.

Here is a look at the kits for the 2025-2026 campaign:

Home Kit

Adidas, the company responsible for the Ajax kits for the 2025-2026 season, have been able to dress up their new design, no pun intended, as something that is entirely different to what has gone before, even though it is basically the same thing that we’ve seen the club play in for decades.

It maintains the classic white base, but introduces a broader red stripe in the centre that gives it its unique look.

The sleeves are white, with the classic Adidas three stripes in red on the shoulders. The white Adidas logo, showing three increasing white stripes at an angle, sits above the right breast, whilst the sponsor’s logo, Ziggo, is in the middle, also in white.

The biggest change comes in the form of the return of Ajax’s classic crest, which was used between 1928 and 1990 and was last seen used on the home shirt in the 2021-2022 season. Supporters will be pleased to see it come back, given the fact that the logo that has been used in the meantime is not one that is overly loved by fans.

Away Kit

For the 2025-2026 campaign, Adidas have claimed to have looked towards the water that flows through the city when it comes to the inspiration for their latest offering.

That is largely down to the fact that Amsterdam itself is celebrating its 750th year, so the waterways that shape the landscape of the area are ideal inspiration to add a classic look alongside a modern aesthetic.

The classic Adidas logo remains above the right breast, as do the three stripes on the shoulders. Rather than being in white, however, they are more like a luminescent yellow. The classic logo also returns here, as does the logo of Ziggo, the club’s main sponsor. It is on the main body of the shirt, both front, back and on the arms, that something a bit more funky is happening.

The main colour is a dark blue, whilst ripples of a lighter blue run through it in order to make it look a bit like water is flowing over the body of the shirt. It is a cool look, whilst on the back is a banner with 1275 -XXX- 2025 featured.

Third Kit

Still, Adidas have done well to make it seem as though there has been a whole heap of thought put into the design, stating that it is ‘inspired by the origins of Amsterdam’.

That ties in to the 750th birthday celebrations, but it is difficult to see how, exactly, that tribute has been paid. The kit itself is basically beige and blue, with some dark red accents thrown in to offer some variation.

In 1275, a toll privilege was granted by Count of Holland Floris V to people ‘residing near the Amsteldam’, the document of which was reportedly beige in colour. That is where the colour scheme comes from, whilst the Adidas logo, Ajax badge and Ziggo logo are all in blue. The Adidas stripes on the shoulders are in the dark red colour to mix things up a bit. Unlike on the home and away kits, there is a colour in place on this kit that is beige, apart from a blue line at the bottom. On all three of the kits, there are three stars above the Ajax badge, representing the club’s three European Cups.
