Last weekend, the ABN AMRO Future Cup was played at De Toekomst. We have enjoyed watching the youth games and especially to our U17’s. We have mentioned it a lot on our Twitter-account already, but it’s such a pleasure to watch this team. We want to give some huge credits to Dave Vos. The U17-trainer lets his team play in the right way. With such a talented team we can write for days about the talents and how they are playing as a team, but for now, we want to have some special attention for the following 5 players.
Naci Ünüvar
What can we say more about him… Unbelievable performances by the midfielder. Still 14 years old (!) and top scorer (5 Goals) of an U17 Tournament. He made his U17-debut in November but is having some more minutes in the team last weeks. He became the youngest goalscorer at the Future Cup after beating Ryan Gravenberch’s record from last year. Absolutely amazing and a joy to watch! Well done, Naci!

Brian Brobbey
He is very important for the U17’s build-up this season. His runs in(to) the box and his passing as target man are a little bit underrated. With 3 assists and 4 goals, he was – again – very important for his team during the Future Cup.

Daan Reiziger
Last season he became the matchwinner for Ajax U17’s against Anderlecht by saving penalties. And he has done it AGAIN. And once more, he stopped the two most important penalties against… Anderlecht!

Enric Llansana
He is originally a midfielder but started the last matches of the Future Cup as a centre back. He is not unfamiliar with this role. In this way, he can be more important in the build-up play. And he is!

Kenneth Taylor
Last but not least: Kenneth Taylor. He is one of Ajax U17’s key players this season. Just like a lot of talents in our U17’s, Kenneth is still very young: 15 years old. His passing and vision are extraordinary and he has been one of the key players this tournament as well.
