Galatasaray hope to complete deal for Kenny Tete

Turkish giants Galatasaray have opened talks with Ajax over the transfer of Kenny Tete. The 21-year-old Amsterdammer, who has one year left on his contract, is said to be open to a move away from the Dutch capital. Ajax have reportedly set an asking price of €3 million plus bonuses and a sell-on clause.

After securing a first team spot under Frank de Boer and winning his first Holland cap, Tete lost the battle for the right-back position to Joel Veltman following the arrival of Peter Bosz. Marc Overmars has stated on numerous occasions he is willing to restart negotiations over a new deal for the young defender, but feels Tete does not have the desire to stay in Amsterdam. And whilst some expected the tide to turn with the departure of Bosz he still seems to have his mind set on a transfer.

Notorious player agent Mino Raiola was quick to respond to the news, claiming his client is desired by more than just one club.
