Will Merseyside come calling for Klaassen?

Ronald Koeman and his Everton side have been keeping close tabs on Davy Klaassen throughout this season. After speaking out to the media, Davy believes nobody would blame him should he leave Ajax over the summer.

The 24-year-old’s performance throughout the 16/17 season has attracted a-lot of attention from European clubs, with Everton among several Premier League clubs monitoring his progress.

Speaking with Dutch newspaper Trouw after Wednesday nights defeat in Stockholm about a possible transfer abroad Klaassen said: “I think nobody would blame me, but I want everyone to have a good feeling. I can see that I cannot be honest about a-lot of things right now.”

Koeman previously watched the midfielder in Ajax’s first semi-final leg against Olyimpique Lyonnais at the ArenA, when Ajax beat the French side 5-4 on aggregate to reach the final.
