Ezra Walian looks set to leave Ajax

Jong Ajax striker Ezra Walian looks all but set to leave Ajax in the summer with no new contract on the horizon. Walian has made 21 appearances for Jong Ajax this season, scoring 3 goals. Indonesia NT manager Luis Milla gave Walian his first call-up for a friendly against Myanmar on 21 March 2017. Aged 19, Walian made his debut for Indonesia as he came on as a substitute at the start of second half wearing number 10 shirt.

In early April, reports filtered through that Championship side Reading had put an offer on the table for Walian, with the forward looking to make the switch to Berkshire when his contract expires at the end of the season.

However Reading’s director of football rubbished the stories adding: “Unlike like a lot of player-related speculation in the media, I can confirm that the club have not spoken with Ezra, we have no interest in offering him a contract and this is another transfer link with no foundation.”
