Ajax and Van Leer agree on four-year deal

According to De Telegraaf, Ajax have reached an agreement with Benjamin van Leer on a four-year contract. The 25-year-old will take Diederik Boer’s place as first team reserve goalkeeper, with Roda JC receiving a €700.000 transfer fee.

Van Leer met with newly appointed Ajax manager Marcel Keizer and goalkeeping coach Carlo l’Ami on Monday, agreeing personal terms with the Dutch giants shortly after. The clubs would go on to seal the deal on Wednesday.

Van Leer will likely link up with the first team on Thursday, when pre-season kicks off.
